The cost being $170,000 in taxpayer money to junket the Easleys around Italy in a chauffeured Mercedes S-Class. The N&O has more nauseating details on the trip, which of course was completely necessary to help “recruit” Italian business to North Carolina. I wonder if Mike Easley visited Dovia di Predappio, birthplace of Benito Mussolini. Mussolini is buried in small crypt there.
